He is now the VP of Engineering. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oh, what a difference a year can make when your destination is clear and have the right tools to help you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carl continues to work hard, but the strange thing is he feels more energized and enjoys what he does much more than his previous job. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His efforts have\u00a0almost a ten times return. Carl chooses what he works on, selected the key members of his team and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">built an excellent relationship with the executive leadership. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"portDescription__description--bold portDescription__description--span\">8 Days, 7 Nights and 6 Spectacular Islands<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carl took the family on a Caribbean\u00a0cruise, and they all had a blast. In a sense\u00a0hitting several islands, all on one vacation felt like it made up for the many years homebound.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\">They flew to Puerto Rico, did some site seeing and boarded the cruise liner<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\">Then they cruised to the beautiful\u00a0island of\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"portDescription__description__portsList\"><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\">Barbados with its sandy beaches, British feel, and good rum<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"portDescription__description__portsList\"><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\">Followed by the Spice Isle of Grenada- famous for numerous spices (like Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cloves), underwater sculptures and beaches\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"portDescription__description__portsList\"><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\"> Next up the Nature\u00a0Isle of Dominica which boasts unadulterated rainforests, rivers, waterfalls and healing sulfur springs<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"portDescription__description__portsList\"><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\">On St. Maarten they roamed both the Dutch and French parts of the island and ate some of the best food of the entire cruise <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"portDescription__description__portsList\"><span class=\"portDescription__description--span\">And just before headed back to Puerto Rico a stop on St. Thomas in US Virgin Islands was perfect to just chill out on the beach<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Spending that quality time with his wife and daughters before they head off to college was priceless.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Life Is Looking Good<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any financial uncertainty Carl and Sue had evaporated within the past twelve months. Thoughts of retirement are accompanied\u00a0by excitement and spirited conversations, not anxiety and avoidance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carl is looking forward to more good times like he had on the cruise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sue could not be happier.
